During the months of April and December, the organization organized two different seminars/workshops in Bafut Sub Division with objective to sensitize the women on peaceful coexistence and build capacity various areas within our domains of intervention.
Focus was centered on building their capacity on how to preach peace messages especially in conflict areas, sensitize them about COVID-19, its prevention and management and also train them on how to make hand sanitizers. During these two seminars/workshop that were organized, the women were so happy because they had learnt and a lot and pleaded for many of such seminars. They also prayed the organization to see how it could empower them to restart their farming acuities which was what they depended on but the crises has forced them to stop. Also they pleaded with the organization to come up with workshops that could empower them in other domains so they could generate income to assist their children. Some food items like rice, groundnut oil and salt were distributed to the women.
Ninety two (92) women including the elderly and widows attended our seminars/workshops in 2021.
