There can be no meaningful development without peace. That is why on the 22nd of May 2022, a seminar was organized in Bafut particularly in Niko Community to create awareness on the importance of women fully participating in decision making in the community.

Another objective of the seminar was to create and build Peace and reconciliation between quarter traditional leaders, youths and  the Village traditional council. After a survey that was carried out, it was realized that the crises has caused so much damaged that the youth do not more respect the traditional authorities and the traditional institutions. The youths saw the need to respect their traditional authorities, the importance of traditional institutions and the need to protect them and cultural artifacts.

Committees made up of youths and headed by the quarter heads were set up to com up with strategies that will see the traditional institutions and cultural artifacts better protected.

The youths complained of lack of jobs and means to get vocational training of their choice that will not only keep them busy but empower them socio-economically so that thy can participate in not only taking care of their own needs but that of their families and finally make them assist in the development of their community.

During the seminar, the men realized the need to include some influential women in the village ruling body in order to facilitate peace building measures and speed up development in the community.

Due to the lack of financial and material means, the organization cannot continue with such a seminar and even provide vocational training for those youths who are in dire need.

The topography of the area did not permit the organization to continue with the survey it had programmed that will enable it to know the needs of the people and their challenges and see how to lobby for assistance to assistance them. So the organization needs a means of transportation like motor bikes and vehicles for transportation.
